Augusta, GA - Doctors Hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™ as a Primary Stroke Center and for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement surgeries.
Accreditation from this organization is a nationwide seal of approval and means that our medical professionals and our facility provide an advanced level of care by meeting requirements in three key areas: compliance with national standards, use of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and having an organized approach to performance improvement.
"With Joint Commission certification, we are making a significant investment in quality on a day-to-day basis from the top down. Joint Commission disease-specific certification provides us a framework to take our organization to the next level and helps create a culture of excellence,” says Angela Taylor, Director of Physical Medicine. “Achieving Joint Commission recertification for our Primary Stroke Center and our Hip and Knee Program is a major step toward maintaining excellence and continually improving the care we provide.”
Doctors Hospital has been certified as a Primary Stroke Center since 2005 and earned the Gold Seal of Approval for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement surgery programs in 2009.
