Benefits Choices Medical plans – Medical benefits are available to full-time and part-time employees. HCA shares the cost of the coverage for full-time and part-time employees. A variety of medical insurance options are available for employees to choose which plan will work the best for their family.

Dental Plans - Our dental plans cover preventive, basic and major dental care.

Vision Plans - Our vision plans cover preventative and basic eye care needs.

Flexible Spending Account Plan - This plan allows you to set aside before-tax dollars to pay for health care or dependent care expenses.

Employee Assistance Program - This resource provides help and counseling to resolve workplace issues and challenges in your personal life. You can also access local programs and resources, such as tools that screen for depression or alcoholism.

Life Insurance - Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance are provided at no cost to you. You may purchase additional life insurance, up to a total of six times pay. Other insurance opportunities include dependent life insurance for your spouse or children.

Disability benefits - All full-time and part-time employees are automatically enrolled in the short-term disability program. This is a percent pay replacement benefit for non-work-related injury/illness and planned leaves of absence.  You can enroll in long-term disability benefits to us in case you're injured and are unable to work for an extended period of time. Supplemental short-term disability is offered through the CorePlus Benefits program.

CorePlus Benefits - You'll be offered the opportunity to purchase voluntary benefits such as supplemental short-term disability, long-term care insurance, legal assistance, universal life insurance, auto and home insurance and pet insurance.

Savings & Retirement Program HCA 401(k) Plan - You may save up to 50 percent of your salary (maximum $15,500 or $20,500 if age 50 or older) in this tax-deferred plan. The company provides a 100% match from 3% to 9% based on your years of vesting service.

Employee Recognition Programs Caring and Sharing Program - Employees may receive recognition from fellow co-workers, managers, patients, and visitors for outstanding work they have performed. The recognized employee is given a caring and sharing card that is used as a gift card to the cafeteria or the hospital gift shop. At the end of each quarter directors read all the caring and sharing cards for that quarter and nominate employees for a quarterly prize.

Employee Service Awards - Beginning at five years of service, employees are recognized for their tenure with the company.

Great Performers – Great Performers are nominated by management and peers quarterly and are recognized based on their exceptional work performance.

Work/Life Balance Benefits Adoption Assistance Program - You may receive reimbursement for expenses associated with the adoption of a child, including agency fees, attorney fees and travel expenses.

ConSern Student Loan Program - You will have access to low-interest student loans to cover educational expenses for yourself or any family member.

Consumer Discounts - You can save money on a variety of products and services - from computers and wireless services to flowers and entertainment tickets.

Laser Eye Surgery Discounts - You may save on the cost of laser surgery to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.

Paid Time Off (PTO) - Eligible employees can accrue between 20 and 30 paid time off days per year based on years of service.

Tuition Reimbursement – Employees are encouraged to pursue job related educational opportunities and can be reimbursed for their efforts.

Cafeteria Discounts – 15% discount off purchases in the cafeteria

Wellness Screenings – periodic health screenings available at no charge to employees, including blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose.
