Lung Cancer Screening
Are you eligible for the lung cancer CT screening?
You must not require home oxygen supplementation or have a history of Lung Cancer and meet one of the following requirements:
- I am 55-74 years old with no signs or symptoms of current lung cancer (coughing up blood; unexplained cough, weight loss or chest pain) and I am an active or former smoker with a minimum of a 30 pack-year history of smoking. (A pack-year is equivalent to 1 pack of cigarettes per day for 30 years or 2 packs per day for 15 years) – OR –
- I am 50 years of age or older with no signs or symptoms of current lung cancer (coughing up blood; unexplained cough, weight loss or chest pain) and have a 20 pack-year (or less) smoking history, but have one of the following: radon exposure, lung disease history, family history of lung cancer or other occupational exposure to known cancer causing chemicals.
