We’re Here For You
The Clyde A. Burgamy, M.D. Center for Women at Doctors Hospital has a Special Care Nursery (Level II) for premature infants, or those needing additional care. When a premature childbirth is anticipated, or a mother is considered high-risk, our neonatologists and perinatologists are available to consult with her and her family, addressing all of their questions and concerns. Should your baby be in distress and need a higher level of care, Doctors Hospital puts the baby’s health first and will immediately transfer them to the nearest accommodating hospital.
Babies who have to stay at the hospital once their mother is discharged can still have their families nearby. Families of these infants can stay free of charge for as long as needed, in the Center for Women’s “boarder rooms”, based on availability.
Doctors Hospital has teamed up with several area hotels, providing discounts to those patients who may need to travel to and from the hospital but do not have the convenience of living near their homes.
