Neonatal intensive care
Our hospital's Clyde A. Burgamy Center for Women is home to a Level II NICU where newborns born prematurely or with medical conditions receive the advanced, specialized care they need. We also coordinate with members of our labor and delivery program and high-risk pregnancy program to provide coordinated, efficient care to keep new mothers and newborns as healthy as possible.
Pediatric burn care
The Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital of Augusta is the largest burn center in the U.S. and the third largest in the world. Our pediatric burn specialists have the skill and experience to provide the highly specialized burn care children require.
Pediatric intensive care
Our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) offers nurturing support and state-of-the-art care for children in critical condition. We have four dedicated beds in our PICU and rooms designed with our young patients in mind. Our two pediatric intensivists, who are trained in pediatric critical care, diagnose and manage life-threatening critical illnesses, collaborating with pediatric subspecialists when needed.
Pediatric surgery
We always recommend the least invasive method to treat children's health conditions. However, sometimes surgical procedures are the most effective option. When pediatric surgery is needed, families can trust that our pediatric surgeons are specially trained to meet their child's unique needs.
